Check off that bucket list

Travel teaches you aspects of life that you would usually not pay heed to in your daily routine.

It makes you grow as a person and enriches your knowledge of worldly things. All I wanted to do is pack my bag and head off to my next bucket list destination. This blog will give you a glimpse into just that. My top bucket list destination may be somewhat mainstream but, oh boy, are they a sight I would not want to miss.

New York, New York

Yes, the big apple. I couldn’t get more cliche than this. Visiting New York has been a dream for many years now that I have shoved aside and not really pursued. Visiting times square, the Brooklyn Bridge, Madison square garden, the central park; I want to do it all. New York is one of the cuties of the world where the culture entices and excites you.

Bali, Indonesia

Who doesn’t want to go to Bali? The white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters are too precious to miss. Bathe in the sun, eat exotic food and drinks. We all want to be Liz from Eat, Pray, Love. Falling in love with nature in Bali sounds like a good deal to me. What about you?

Sydney, Australia

Did you know McDonald’s is called Maccas in Australia? Sydney is among the top bucket list destinations for many. It isn’t the most populous city in the country but is also an embodiment of Australia as a whole. The Sydney Opera House, the most prominent tourist spot in Sydney hosts over 40 shows per week. How can one say no to that? There’s also the clear waters, Bondi beach and the harbour bridge that is a must-visit!

Paris, France

The thought of visiting Paris simply takes my breath away. French food, french people and french language exude love and sophistication like no other in the world. Prancing around the Louvre, watching an artist painting at the Luxembourg Gardens, and visiting the slew of cathedrals are a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Do I even need to mention the Eiffel Tower?

Dubai, UAE

There is an Arabic proverb which goes like ‘Who lives sees, but who travels sees more.’ Truer words have never been spoken. Dubai has been on my bucket list for a while now and it’s a bittersweet relationship with the city as I have missed all possible chances of visiting. Gazing down at the world from the top floor of the Burj Khalifa and watching sand dunes and a sea of dessert sounds enchanting.

Maldives

Last but not least, the magical water of Maldives! Crystal clear waters and waterside villas are mesmerizing. The beauty of Maldives will take your breath away and it’s the perfect spot for snorkelling and diving.
