Exotic is such a broad term to use in your daily life. Habits can be exotic, people can be exotic, and places can be exotic. What pops in your mind when you heard the word exotic? Mountain ranges or sandy beaches or streets that appear like they are a part of a movie set?
Our planet is so vast and that fact surprises me to date. There so many destinations that remain untouched by humans. From deep waters to picturesque landscapes to tropical jungles, I have got some of my most favourite destinations that I aspire to visit in my lifetime
Bay of Kotor, Montenegro

Surrounded by emerald waters and mountains that will steal your breath away, Bay of Kotor or Boka is a winding bay in southwestern Montenegro. Fun fact: it is also a Unesco World Heritage site. Its breathtaking views are unmissable and are not very mainstream amongst many tourists. A hidden gem, Boka is filled with medieval-style shoreline houses that are reflected in the clear waters of the way.
Gozo, Malta

Situated bang in the Mediterranean Sea, Gozo makes up one of the 21 Maltese archipelagos. This island is divine for snorkeling and diving with its crystal clear waters and magical sunsets. You can simply sit at one of the cliffs and watch as the sun goes down and the ferry goes by. Small patches of beaches and coves, Gozo offers pastures, landscapes ad sheltered beaches.
Taha, French Polynesia

You must have heard of the Bora Bora islands? But let’s keep the mainstream destination aside. Let’s talk about Taha. Taha is a quiet island located in French Polynesia and is also called The Islands of Tahiti. The flower-shaped island is engulfed with mountains and white sand beaches. But you know what makes Taha a must go to? Their numerous vanilla farms and the vanilla-scented air. Who said one could have too much of vanilla?
The Blue Hole, Belize
Do 125 meters of an underwater sinkhole sound appealing to you? If your answer was yes then Belize is the city for you. The Blue Hole is a massive sinkhole that very few of the world’s greatest divers and snorkelers have dared to be explored. One can find spectacular coral formations and marine life around the hole. However, scientists have found out that the hole has no sign of life or oxygen. Excited enough?
Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, Japan
Bamboo has always fascinated me. Pictures don’t do justice to the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest in Japan. Filled with bamboo trees that touch the sky, this forest is found on the outskirts of Kyoto. You will be bound to find monkeys jumping from one tree to another with shrines found all over the place. Get ready to be amazed by the soaring stalks of bamboo and pillars that whisper to the sky and the wind.
