Every person who wishes to and loves the experience travel offers would love to magically teleport to their desired destination in a matter of seconds. Here are some destinations that you should definitely check off your bucket list!
A big criteria we tend to keep in mind while making travel plans is how far the destination is. But how do we exactly deal with flights that are long haul? I remember being on an 18-hour flight from Mumbai to Toronto and it was agonizing, to say the least.
There are some tips that I was offered by my fellow travelers and it helped me pull through sitting in an economy class seat for a period of 18 hours to get to my destination.
Comfort over fashion – Always, always and always wear comfortable clothing when traveling on long haul flights. Some sweatpants or a pair of tights with a loose t shirt will be a perfect outfit for say an 18-hour flight. Avoid wearing clothes that could dig into your skin, is tightly fitted and that could be of the wrong material. Here is a link that you can refer to for fashionable yet comfortable airport looks.

The right accessories – What is a traveler without their own set of unique accessories. I am aware that many airlines, especially international ones, provide conveniences such as earplugs, a sleeping pillow and a blanket to wrap over while sleeping. But I would suggest you buy a comfortable travel pillow, a set of earplugs for when there is a change in air pressure, a blanket which you can wrap around and use it as a scarf and a sleep mask which will shield the light away as you sleep.

Snacks – Snacks has always been an important part of my journey. I am not talking about 3-4 packets of flaming Cheetos but some nuts or granola bars or even dark chocolate could help you when you’re famished. Airlines always have certain times that they serve meals at and if the meal isn’t something you like, you are bound to be hungry. If you would like to know the kind of snacks that airlines allow you to carry in your cabin bag, here is a link for you.

Care kit – This is an important aspect of being in a confined space in the air for more than 10 hours. I am someone who likes to brush their teeth after eating foods that could possibly leave an odor. For that purpose, I always carry a care kit which includes a toothbrush, a mini toothpaste, a moisturizer, lip balm and some medicines I think will be necessary (Advil, for instance).

These some of the ways are how I survive through long haul flights. I would love to hear from you about what you do in such situations!
